gLASSsHRiMP radio show: 16th June 2008

broadcast live on Resonance 104.4 fm9.30pm til 11pm (UK time) – Monday 16th June 2008 – streaming from

back again after another week off* – a packed show tonight….

live session tonight from spoken-word “kraut-punk‘n’roll free jazz freak out” merchants Debbie Leggo…

“Debbie Leggo is not a pretentious woman believing in herself, her music beyond all else… neither is she affiliated with the lego company”. Debbie Leggo is Partick-bred, London-based deadpan fire-headed poet Gerry Mitchell plus a bunch of avant-rock loving young guns (yes, guns!) from London – both sides of recent single/ep ‘Car Crash Crowd’ (Fire, 2008) were firm faves here on the ‘sHRiMP so it’s great to have Ms Leggo live in the studio.

Howard Aggregate will marking the 25th anniversary of the publication of the Hitler Diaries by Stern – perhaps he is looking for 10 million Euros for his own journals?

we also welcome a new spot – for quite a while we have thought about featuring lost classic albums amongst our usual heap of new sounds – well now someone to run with that idea.. welcome to Rebecca Jade, musician/singer/songwriter & DJ (as The Lost Chord of Atlantis) – tonight Rebecca will let us into the secret that is Chrysalis, makers of a sole 1968 album ‘Definition’.

in the Head’s bag you will find… By The Fireside, Jessica Bailiff & Annelies Monsere, Rude Mechanicals, Prurient, Dananananaykroyd, Thalia Zedek, Ponytail, Sh*t & Shine, White Magic, The (Fallen) Black Deer, Bardo Pond, Guapo and the like..
Scott’s mapsadaisical satchel contains lovelies from the likes of Jasper TX, Hulk (NB: not the soundtrack to the film!), Leila, Seasons (Pre-Din), Eleanoora Rosenholm, Alva Noto, Byetone, Rudi Arapahoe, LSD March, Yoro Sidibe, Kevin Drumm, Robbie Basho, Kangding Ray, Brael/Tokyo Bloodworm, Box, Wildbirds and Peacedrums.
playlists with session photos + spoken word audio (note Aggregate fans) now available via

tonight’s show presented by Scott McMillan and Kev Head with Howard Aggregate & Rebecca Jade

*On the 9th of June 1998, at the behest of John Peel, Resonance FM first started broadcasting in London. At this embryonic stage Resonance FM occupied the 107.3FM frequency. last week all Resonance FM broadcasting was culled exclusively from this brief but fertile experiment.
