Type label feature
in celebration of the eclectic bag of sonic delights that is the Type label, tonight on gLASSsHRIMP we presented a feature devoted to that label and artists associated with it.

Type Records has been run by the Brooklynite Brummie John Twells (aka Xela), along with Stefan Lewandoski, since 2003. The last couple of years in particular have seen some notable releases by the likes of Grouper, Mokira, Richard Skelton, Svarte Greiner, On, William Fowler Collins, City Center and Xela himself.  We played the following tracks:

Xela – “I Drowned Her In A Dreamless Sleep” from split 7″ with Grouper (Root Strata);
Zelienople – “All I Want Is Calm” from Give It Up (Type);
Grouper -“Hold The Way” from split LP with Roy Montgomery (Yellow Electric);
Richard Skelton -“Remaindered” from Landings (Type)
Yellow Swans -“Going Places” from Going Places (Type)

show presented by Kev Head, Scott McMillan & Bipasha Ahmed
